This year's raffle will benefit the Meridian House, a 24-hour therapeutic community for persons in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. It is located at 408 Meridian Street, East Boston, and houses 25 men and women. It is a program operated by North Suffolk Mental Health and the building is owned by the East Boston Community Development Corp. It is state funded and has been operating since 1971. It is also supported by resident and community fundraising activities.
